Elizer was actually named "Eliza" and it was discovered recently that her attorney representing her most probably signed the Widows' Pension application in the State of Georgia for her. She either did not know how to read or write hence the "Her Mark" annotation between her first and last name, or this was the way attorneys signed for their clients under a Power of Attorney.
